To claim this benefit you need to demonstrate that your illness or disability resulted from activities undertaken while you were either in work, or on an approved employment training scheme.

The diseases listed in the prescribed list of conditions are primarily linked to physical health conditions. However, claims have been made for this benefit when people have demonstrated they have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder linked to their experiences at work.
