Geethma’s Story: Finding Peace in Nature

Photo of blossom

My favourite outdoor space is my front garden. I planted some daffodil bulbs last year and they have blossomed and look beautiful. I also have a bird feeder which attracts robins in the morning and it is lovely to be woken up by their singsongs. My front garden has helped me during the lockdown, especially during winter as I was working from home a lot and it was too cold to go out much. Having a garden to look at provided me with some moments of peace where I got to practise mindfulness and get a dose of mother nature from the comfort of my own home.

My top gardening/ growing tip is that if you have houseplants, playing classical music helps with their growth! There have been scientific studies that have been done on this.
