1 in 4 of us experience a mental health problem every year.
There’s a huge range of mental health problems. But living well with or without a mental health problem is accessible to us all.
On this course we aim to help you to increase your understanding of mental health issues and the impact they have on a person’s life. We also aim to increase your knowledge and confidence when supporting people with mental health issues
This half day course provides an overview of key issues, which include:
What is mental health?
The mental health continuum
Common myths and stereotypes
Causes, signs and symptoms of key mental health conditions (including depression, anxiety, psychosis, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, schizophrenia)
What can you do if you see someone struggling
Signposting to local and national support agencies
If you would like to book a place on this course please email firstname.lastname@example.org
This course is also running in January and March 2020.
I liked that the trainer was open about her own mental health. It helped me open up and express myself.
