Do One Thing: Ruth

Cartoon illustration of laptop

I’m Ruth, Resilience Coordinator here at Manchester Mind.

For World Mental Health Day I’m going to timetable an hour for some armchair activism – writing to my MP, signing petitions and tweeting – around issues to do with inequality and poverty, such as cutting universal credit, the police bill etc.  because we can’t have good mental health if our basic needs are not being met.

Like Ruth you can join the fight for mental health

We are marking the event by encouraging you to “Do One Thing” to support your own mental health and for the mental health of those around us. Read through some of our suggested things and don’t forget to share your #DoOneThing with us if you can.
