The need to diversify our funding has never been greater and over the years Manchester Mind has moved with the times setting up Good Mood Food as a catering enterprise, our training courses and fundraising –with any profits made going straight back in to support our charitable objectives.
This tag represents how far we have come both with Manchester Mind and Good Mood Food, in being able to run a sustainable business. It provides volunteering opportunities for people with lived experience of mental health as well as great quality catering and an opportunity to promote the connections between food and mental health as part of our Food For All services.
Oh and what is the tag? It’s the one that Sharon had to wear as part of the crew for the secret Skepta* gig – part of Manchester International Festival 2019. Good Mood Food providing the food for the crew setting up and Skepta himself!
For us it represents how far Good Mood Food has come through some shaky years (it is hard to make money from food), to now being a respected business with a good customer base. It also represents how charities can diversify their incomes.
