Allotment Blog: Gravel and a roof!

More barrows of stone again, and again, teamwork made the dream work!

Today we were joined by more lovely staff from J. Parkers, this time from their Marketing team.

Everyone got stuck in, there was one scratched finger and a lot of sweat, but look we have a roof!

The crowning glory – isn’t it fantastic? This structure will make all the difference to our plot, allowing proper comfortable shelter from rain and a space to carry out activities under cover. It will also provide space for people with physical health needs, so they can sit and observe, and a quiet spot to have a chat when things are troubling or distressing.

There is still some gravel to lay next time, but all in all – a great day’s work. Thanks everyone.
