Freelance Trainers

Manchester Mind is an independent local mental health charity which delivers advice, information and support to thousands of young people and adults every year. Due to growth in demand, we are looking for experienced trainers to join our training bank in order to support delivery of our well-regarded training programme.

As well as our service delivery, we provide a range of different mental health awareness training courses and talks to the community, public and private sector across Manchester. We encourage applications from people with lived experience of mental health issues as well as those who have a personal connection, employment history or interest in this area.

The rate of pay is:

• £17 per hour during the induction period

• £20 per hour once induction is passed

Cafe Supervisor (Zion)

Manchester Mind believes in the power of food to bring people together, learn new skills, reduce social isolation and improve mental health. We do this through providing a range of food related activities including an outside catering service, two community cafes and regular Pay What You Can sessions. Volunteering across all our services is really important to us. To support us in this work we are looking to recruit;

A Cafe Supervisor for the Manchester Mind Café within the Zion Centre in Hulme.

We are looking to recruit someone who can combine experience of working in a catering setting together with working collaboratively with people who are experiencing poor mental health in order to support recovery and improved wellbeing. Personal experience of mental health problems would be advantageous in this role. Being able to demonstrate awareness and understanding of the impact of long-term mental health problems on people’s lives is essential.

Position: Cafe Supervisor (Zion Centre) | Salary: £18,376 (pro rata) | Hours: 25 hours per week (worked Monday – Thursday) Guaranteed funding available until 31st March 2018 (awaiting outcome of funding application, which will then secure the post for 3 years).

Delivery Driver, Good Mood Food

Position: Delivery Driver, Good Mood Food

Salary: £8.50 per hour

Hours: 10am – 2pm (Monday – Thursday)

Location: Windrush Millenium Centre, Moss Side

To support us in Good Mood Food we are looking to recruit an experienced Delivery Driver. In the role you would be responsible for loading and delivering Good Mood Food Buffets at venues across Manchester. The role would also entail supporting volunteers. You will need to have a clean driving licence, be well organised and able to work supportively with staff and volunteers in a small but busy team.
